Re: Tc classes for this season
I also would like to know what the rules (motor, esc and tires) for 1/12 are going to be as well as the 1/10 TC class.

Re: Tc classes for this season
For 1/12 scale, I'm 99.9% sure it will be 13.5 open esc open tire. That's what we've been running and I think it's a good class.
For TC my guess is 13.5 open esc rubber tire. I would personally like to see 17.5 open esc, but I think I'll be out voted.

Carter

Re: Tc classes for this season
12(: scake will be open tire and we recomend 13.5 however this will not be strictly enforced since we will be allowing any speed controller and honestly a 12th scale with a mod motor is really fun to watch as they tend to explode on impact which happens regularly.
For touring car we will have two possibly three classes. The two for sure classes will be pro TC with 13.5 motors and open esc. The other will be intermediate TC with 13.5 and limited profile escs or 17.5 open esc. The last TC class would be an open foam class depending on turn out.

Re: Tc classes for this season
I think we should give some serious consideration to having 17.5 classes in TC. Look at the times for the A mains from the IIC
Mod -- Hara 30 in 5:02 fast lap 9.9 TQ was Volker 31 5:08
SS 17.5 -- Hara 29 in 5:01 fast lap 10.1 TQ was Hara 29 5:02
Stock 17.5 -- Lane 27 in 5:01 fast lap 10.7 TQ was Sydor 28 5:05
I don't see where 13.5 fits in there.

Re: Tc classes for this season
I was last in every race but 1 where I finished 7th. It was still the best RC experience. How crazy is it when your turn marshalls are supposed to be Volker, Hara, Rheinard, LeMieux, Hebert, Wilck, Moore, Levanen, and Hohwart.
Max did Really well. TQ'd every qualifying round of 13.5 12th scale. He finished 2nd in probably the most frustrating race of his life.
I talked to quite a few of the CORRC guys and they seemed really interested in coming down for a race.
Probably the best news of the weekend is that there may be another IIC next year. Fingers crossed because I would go back in a heartbeat.
