RENT A RIDE Empty RENT A RIDE

Post  Sean Guthrie Fri Oct 15, 2010 3:38 pm

Wanted to officially announce that RCRIOT will be renting cars out for every race of the 2010-2011 season.

Currently the fleet of cars is a RC10R5, and an X-RAY T2 009R. Both cars are out fitted with current brushless speed controllers, 13.5 motors, Digital Radio systems, 40C Li-po batteries, the 10R5 has a mini servo, the X-RAY has a digital metal gear servo, they will have new/good tires and new/good bodies. The equipment is top of the line and the cars are being prepared by Max K himself.

We will be adding a T3R to the line-up as well as a CRC WGT.

As the interest grows so will the amount of cars, as well as we may begin to have different qualities of cars for different price levels but for now we will be supplying high end cars with good equipment and we will always insure that the cars are well prepared and have a good set-up so that if you rent a car from us you will not have to worry about anything other than racing.

Prices to start with are as follows:
RC10R5 for the World GT Class: $30 includes race entry.
    X-RAY T2-009R: $40 includes race entry.

Customers will be required to pay for broken parts but will not be responsible for any of the electronics.

If a customer decides after racing the car that they want to purchase the cars they can purchase the cars for hobby-shop cost of all the parts minus 5% for every race the car has been rented out for.

That's a great idea. I know a couple people that would come and try a car. Once you pay the rental fee, is the car yours to run all evening? What time do you need to be there to rent a car?

Have you considered taking donations to build up cars to use in the rental program?

Maybe issue race vouchers for people who donate good used rc hardware. Motors, lipos, esc's, servos.

That is in intersting idea. I do want to keep the equipment good, doesnt have to be brand new I guess. It is a first come first serve on the rentals but you can reserve them over the message board just post on this forum. It is a one time charge for the night, so if you get there early and want to practice with it you can, then 2 heats and a main. Must pay for any broken parts before the main and then whatever you break during the main will obviously be collected after. But that way if someone practices with the car and breaks a bunch they have to pay to play, if you know what I mean.
