    Novice Touring Car

Post  rdjamis on Thu Feb 17, 2011 9:53 pm

    Hi Everyone,

I was wondering what most novice racers are running for motor/esc/chassis/etc... I'm wanting to get involved in the novice class and want to know what to expect. I'm just wanting to be able to compete. Thanks!

The novice class has a variety of cars with a variety of skill levels. Our best novice drivers is a group of three younger guys, 10-15 probably they have either some old 12th scales with brushed 19t or 27t, and a touring car with a 13.5 brushless turned way down. The key with novice is not the car or the speed but learning not to crash! Come out and watch and you will see what I mean.

I think thin would be a great class...especially for guys like Jordan and AJ and whoever...

17.5's, or 21.5's and spec tires would be great to learn to drive something "better" than the 1/18th's.

Great idea! Im thinking a 2nd hand TC for Jordan as we type...

Sounds good to me. I'm hoping to get out in the next couple of weeks and start participating. I ordered some gear and it is taking forever to make its way to me. Thanks for the input guys!
