For anyone that is not familiar with 1/8 on-road, below is a video from practice at the worlds at Homestead Miami Speedway. If you like 1/12 scale you would love these cars (hint hint Max). 1/8 on-road is often referred to as the F1 of RC racing.

Re: 1/8 on-road
First off: wow, am I excited to see that there is outdoor, on road RC racing in ABQ! I'm moving to the area in October, so I will be bringing my MRX4 with me!
My question is, is there any 1/8th on road racing currently? If not, can I at least practice with my MRX4-R? Also, which RC class is most popular, 1/10th brushless?

Re: 1/8 on-road
There are 6-7 of us that are racing 1/8 (I am new). The biggest class is the 1/10 nitro sedan class. Its pretty fun, hopefully we can go to days when it gets too cold at night.

What 1/10th scale nitro sedan are most people running these days? I was hoping that there is an American brand with good US parts availability (like Associated) to chose from. But it looks like the NTC3 is not competitive anymore with the Mugens of the world??

The Xray NT1 seems to be the car to have and it is what most people are running. You shouldn’t have any problems finding parts online and the local hobby shop (Hobby Proz) can order you anything.
