    2010-2011 Schedule Empty 2010-2011 Schedule

Post  darcydawg Mon Aug 30, 2010 3:42 pm

The schedule for the fall winter season will be every other weekend starting Saturday October 9th and running through the first week of April. There will be an extra weekend off on New Years. This will not conflict with the remaining ARCOR races listed on their schedule. Here is the schedule.

We are also looking at holding a 2 day race possibly in November.

The next fun race will be either Friday 9/24 or Saturday 9/25. If you have a strong preference, let me know. This will be a another free race night. If you would like to try on-road racing or know someone who might like on-road racing, come on down we will find a car for you to try.

    Post questions or comments here.

    Regards,
    Carter

Race days through the end of the year:

    Saturday October 23RD
    Saturday November 6th
    Saturday November 20th

Saturday nights, track opens at 3 sign ups at 6, racing 6:30. Schedule will be what Carter has posted and a more concrete flyer will be made hopefully before the first official race. Classes
13.5 World GT - same as last year
12th scale - gentelman aggreement to 13.5 open or 10.5 non timing advance speedos
13.5 Rubber Touring Car Intermediate - non timing advance motors Jaco blue tires
13.5 Rubber Touring Car Pro - invitation class bassed on achieving a lap number - Open ESC -Jaco Blue tires
Tamiya Mini - Tamiya USA rules (ask paul if you have questions)
    Novice

We are also looking into a Semi-pro class which would help people transition up from novice before getting into another class. Seems like we have a great "kid class" but need a place for races that can get around the track with out crashing but not fast enough to really race.

Paul, tell me about the Tamiya class. The "late model" cars I saw in White rock were AE, weren't they?

I am going to try and keep the Mini class to Tamiya minis instead of a class with multiple styles and brands of mini's and micros.

Tamiya Mini Class is a class they put on for the traveling TCS series racing. The cars you saw were Associated Late Models (also fun, but smaller scale cars) The rules for TCS minis are posted on thier website (www.tamiyausa.com)...basically the takeaway is any M series kit (be it M03, M04, M05) kit silver canned motors, stick battery pack (lipo or NIMH) tamiya hopups (only ones designed for your car) and you are good to go.

At SOME point we could get more specific...but for now Tamiya rules (losely interpreted-i.e. strict weights, etc) are the best to get folks started...no reason for ANYTHING high dollar since the idea is a fun, low cost class...

Sidenote: I have been sent (Sunday) to Del Rio Texas on Air Force buisness (Accident Investigation) so I'll be out till approx Haloween...but Ill check my email...Steve-O, Brian, Daniel and Junebugg have the cars...If you want you can borrow mine to try it out...its alot of fun.

There are a few different models of cars M03 M04 M05, and each model has a few different bodies that it is sold with. There is like 20 different kits you can buy, some come with an ESC and Motor even.

True. They have several. M02,03,05 are all FWD the M03L means its a bit longer, M03M is Medium and M03 is normally the short wheelbase. They are all pretty equally "bad handling"...just kidding you can change the wheelbases on them if you want by adding/removing spacers on the 3 and 4 and changing rear suspension locations on the 5.

The M04 is rear wheel drive...some people preferr them.

Like Sean said several include ESC's like the M03M Suzuki Swift...comes with one, that is the one Jordan has. The "Pro Models" do not...they put some "Bling in instead" I recommend a 3 or 4 and your choice of hop ups...not that you need them. If you buy one and want to try another I am sure you can try mine/Jordan's...when I get back again.

Hey Zac, we are just racing Saturday evenings for now. This week is a bit of a crazy one for me as I just got back from an Indy Lights race in Florida and have another race this weekend.

I have people to run the races this weekend but it will probably be a little bit rocky, like the last two races. But there are still off-road races going on and the balloon fiasco so we just need another fun good race to kick the season off. It will be a non-pints race as well.

Following this race expect to have a night or two a week for practice, and a better more organized racing environment.

Also look for a new exciting class!

    I have 2 M03's and 1 M05 Pro. I actually preferr the 03.

    Jordan runs the other 03.

Brian has the 05 Pro/Blue edition. Steve has the 05, Think Daniel bought an 04.

If you want an M05 pro I can hook you up with one (w/plastic shocks, no body,no motor...as I moved them to the 03)...like I said I preferr the 03...they all are pretty much the same.
